FRI.

2:00 - 6:00 pm

Arrival at Straus Home Ranch

Our Retreat Curators, Flynn and Stef, will be at the Ranch to welcome us with local wine and cheeses, coffee and tea, and other goodies. We'll settle in to our private rooms, meet each other, and take a tour of the Ranch property. Directions to the Ranch are included in your Welcome Packet.

6:30 - 8:30 pm

Fog + Sage Welcome Dinner

We'll share our first farm-to-table meal together, enjoying the local flavors of each dish. We'll have the chance to share a glimpse into our own stories as we move into a conversation experience facilitated by our Curators. Our weekend will be enriched by healthy home cooking, but no meal is complete without unique desserts prepared with love by our private Retreat Chef, Chris.

8:30 - 9:00 pm

Evening Workshop: Sparking Inspiration

Curated by Flynn

As we unwind from the evening and begin this weekend of recharging, restoring, and reconnecting, we'll gather together under the stars to clear our minds and spark our inspiration for the weekend. We'll take a playful approach to learning about how tools like meditation and mindfulness can be powerfully transformative in our lives and work. It will be a new way of looking at mindfulness that feels fresh, approachable, fun, and very impactful for all aspects of your life. And with that, we'll relax into a restful evening.

SAT.

7:00 - 9:00 am

Personal Time

Plus Sunrise Yoga led by Leah of Thunderbolt Yoga and Ayurveda

Each of us have our own personal way of welcoming the day. One thing we'll discuss during the retreat is how getting in the rhythm of a morning ritual can be one of the healthiest ways to restore and recharge in a busy lifestyle. So each morning will be open for whatever ritual speaks to us, whether that's writing in our journal and sitting out in the cold spring air with coffee, or going for a run along the shoreline with a fellow participant, or joining the group in sunrise yoga with Leah, our Retreat Yoga Teacher

9:00 - 10:00 am

Farm-to-Table Breakfast

With a full day of exploration ahead, we'll come together for a healthy breakfast to fuel us for our creative workshops and activities. Coffee and tea will be served, and it will be a hearty breakfast with lighter options for all breakfast preferences among us.

10:00 - 1:00 pm

Storytelling Workshop: Why Your Voice Matters

Curated by Flynn

Storytelling is a critical skill in today's information landscape, and is our most powerful tool for sharing our vision and connecting with ourselves and others. We'll explore themes from literature and philosophy, to mindfulness and psychology, to poetry, science, and creative writing, experimenting with a variety of techniques and ways to tap into our innate ability to tell our stories, whether we want to innovate a new idea, spread the word about our company's messaging, or kickstart a new project.

1:00 - 2:00 pm

Farm-to-Table Lunch

Buzzing with inspiration after the Storytelling Workshop with Flynn, we'll take an afternoon break to enjoy our third home prepared meal of the weekend. Coffee and tea will again be served, along with fresh cucumber-orange or blackberry-mint infused water.

2:00 - 3:00 pm

Personal Time

Plus Floral Workshop curated by Ladan of Le Bouquet

After a delicious meal, we will have some time to unwind, relax, and take a break. For those interested in exploring the art of repurposing nature's beauty, we will gather together for a special workshop led by Ladan, our Retreat Floral Curator. Ladan will lead us in arranging weeds, herbs, vegetables, fruits, branches and pods, which are all natural forms that can create a beautiful bouquet. Each arrangement will reflect our personal style, as well as remind us that our world naturally has so much wisdom and meaning when we let it in.

3:00 - 5:30 pm

Creativity Workshop: Inspiring Your Creative Confidence

Curated by Stef

Creativity is one of the most effective tools for improving the way we approach our relationships and careers. As children, we felt uninhibited by our calling to create, and yet as we grew into adulthood, so many of us lost that part of ourselves. This workshop is a safe space for sharing our personal interpretations of creativity as we identify our mental roadblocks that make us feel uncreative, unfulfilled, or stuck. Together we'll explore simple ways to unlock our inner creative voice while letting go off the preconceptions that often get in our way.

5:30 - 7:00 pm

Personal Time

Plus Self-Care Workshop curated by Leah of Thunderbolt Yoga and Ayurveda

We are free to spend this time however we choose, enjoying our solitude or relaxing with each other. We'll also have a Self-Care Ayurveda Workshop for those of us looking to explore the art of nourishing ourselves. We'll also have paints, watercolors, and other art supplies out for anyone who wishes to tap into a limitless supply of inner creativity. There will also be a delicious array of snacks and refreshments out for whoever is craving an early evening pick-me-up or a snack before a walk.

7:00 - 9:00 pm

Spring Dinner

Our final dinner of the retreat will again include a variety of healthy, local ingredients that each have meaning behind their creation, as well as a special dessert treat from our Retreat Chef, Chris. We'll unwind together after a day of exploring the various approaches to storytelling, creativity, and mindfulness.

9:00 - 9:45 pm

Evening Workshop: Discovering Simplicity

Curated by Flynn and Stef

We'll gather to unravel all the complexities of the day and our minds, in order to again clear the canvas for a new day. Our Curators will be our guides in developing a personal map for relishing simplicity, which we can integrate into our lives as a takeaway from the retreat.

SUN.

7:00 - 9:00 am

Personal Time

Plus Sunrise Yoga led by Leah of Thunderbolt Yoga and Ayurveda

The final morning of the retreat is an especially important time to reflect on the weekend, the impact of the experience, and the transition back into your daily life. Again, this time is open to whatever ritual speaks to you, whether that's taking a quiet walk along the Ranch, exploring with fellow participants, or, of course, joining the group in sunrise yoga with Leah, our Retreat Yoga Teacher

9:00 - 9:30 am

Light Breakfast

We'll begin the day with a light breakfast so that we can then move into our breakout sessions with the two curators. While each participant is meeting with a Curator, the rest of the group is free to continue their personal time and do what inspires them in the moment.

9:30 - 10:30 pm

Mindfulness Workshop: Aligning your Personal and Professional Values

Curated by Stef

So many of us invest all that we have – our time, energy, focus, originality – into our company's story, which leaves very little to enrich our own personal story. Do we draw a line between personal and professional? And if we do, where do we draw it and how do we maintain that balance? How can we align our values in all aspects of our lives so that we feel aligned and enriched, rather than overwhelmed and empty.

10:30 - 12:00 pm

Breakout Sessions with Curators

Each participant will be given one-on-one time with each of the two Curators, Flynn and Stef. These are meant as opportunities to individually connect with either Flynn or Stef on any topic we want to explore in more depth from the weekend. Or perhaps something else entirely. This is our time with the Curator to really tap into their area of knowledge and insight.

12:00 - 1:00 pm

Farewell Lunch

We'll enjoy one last farm-to-table meal together, reminiscing on all the flavors we've discovered and tried throughout the weekend. We'll discuss our experiences and our plans moving forward as we transition back to 'reality.' This will also be the time for Chris to share recipes with anyone who fell in love with a particular dish or ingredient.

2:30 - 4:00 pm

Final Goodbyes

Our experience together has come to a close and we are now ready to take what we've experienced during this retreat, and apply these tools to our personal and professional lives moving forward. We will reflect on our adventure and consider all the things we've found in our newly formed community.
